Where to download videos in USA

In order to download videos in United States of America there are some sites used for sure for this purposes. The most popular it is of course www.youtube.com. YouTube is a video-sharing website on which users can upload, share, and view videos. Three former PayPal employees created YouTube in February 2005. In November 2006, YouTube, LLC was bought by Google Inc. for $1.65 billion, and is now operated as a subsidiary of Google. The company is based in San Bruno, California, and uses Adobe Flash Video technology to display a wide variety of user-generated video content, including movie clips, TV clips, and music videos, as well as amateur content such as video blogging and short original videos. Most of the content on YouTube has been uploaded by individuals, although media corporations including CBS, the BBC, VEVO and other organizations offer some of their material via the site, as part of the YouTube partnership program. Unregistered users can watch the videos, while registered users are permitted to upload an unlimited number of videos. Videos that are considered to contain potentially offensive content are available only to registered users 18 and older.

Another great site is www.metacafe.com. Metacafe is similar to other video viewing websites such as YouTube above mentioned or Dailymotion, but with several differences. Core differentiators include duplication elimination, a different type of Adult content filtering, a community member reviewer panel, VideoRank, and Wiki-editing of metadata. Its VideoRank system gauges viewer reactions to videos in order to feature those that prove most popular to its viewers. The site features short-form videos in a variety of categories, including Animation, Comedy, Entertainment, How To, News and Events, People and Stories, Sports, Video Games and others. Original content is uploaded to the site by independent video creators, small to mid-sized production groups, and major media companies.

Also www.dailymotion.com is frequently used. Dailymotion is a video sharing service website, based in Paris, France. Since February 18, 2008, the site supports video content that can play at 720p on a HD set, but the bit rate is significantly less than the 5–9 megabits for expected HD quality. As of April 2009, the site was getting over 55 million unique visitors monthly and visitors viewed approximately 17 billion pages since the start of the year. As of January 2008, the site was getting about 16,000 new videos posted daily, and page views in excess of 26 million per day. The dailymotion.com domain name was registered one month after youtube.com was registered. At least one name server is based in France with the .fr name extension.

Dailymotion allows users to browse and upload videos by searching tags, channels or user-created groups; the search system also introduces results based on things other users have searched for. The maximum size of a video file is 2 gigabytes. The length of the video file is also limited to 20 minutes, except for the MotionMakers and the Official Users. Except these three sites there are others like atom.com, blip.tv etc., but they are not so important and developed.
